Everyone Can Be A Leader

Leaders create change, are not afraid to make mistakes, and provide vision for others.  I admire the many leaders in my life that have shaped my understanding of the world, of people, and of how to make a difference for good.

Everyone has the potential to be a leader – making a difference for good in the lives of others.  Everyday people rise above their situations to create something better.  I am often amazed at people and their stories of triumph when they overcame difficulties that even they sometimes thought were unachievable.   These people demonstrated unique mix of will-power and fortitude along their journey.  Everyone has leaders to thank for the good they have provided to the world.

Just as others have led the way for us, we can lead the way for others.  The circle of life is provides each of us with a unique opportunity to build up others.  No matter our state, if we can conceive of doing good to others, we can make a contribution.  A leader builds others up.

Developing One’s own Leadership

It is not always easy to spot leadership as it develops in others.  Personal leadership is developed through personal triumphs over one’s difficulties.  The personal decisions and actions carried out by that person are often only known to them.  Behind every great leader is a legacy of great decisions that were built from strong will-power and fortitude.  The secret to developing one’s own leadership, make good decisions and stick to them.

We Need Leaders Today

In today’s world we are bombarded with distractions that focus our attention on things that do not make a difference in people’s lives.  We all know how good it feels when someone builds us up.  The investment we make in building up those around us will always pay off, whether it benefits them now or later, it will benefit us.  When we stand for something, we make a statement.  People are changed by what we stand for.  We can make a difference in someone’s life, and we can start today.
