About Michael Eagar

Michael Eagar is an educator and learning leader who teaches modern thinking skills. He explains how bias and persuasion shape decisions and how to resist influence that leads people to believe and do things they never fully chose. He has led digital and learning initiatives as a Senior Director of Digital and previously supported more than 10,000 online learners at WGU Academy.

Michael’s work focuses on bias, persuasion, social influence, and practical decision standards. He teaches simple rules for evaluating claims and choosing actions intentionally. He helps people recognize when emotion, incentives, and social pressure are influencing them, evaluate evidence quickly, and respond deliberately instead of reactively.

He hosts Hard to Fool with Michael Eagar, a skills-based show focused on bias, persuasion, and thinking clearly in a world built to influence you.
